(CNN)-Some people think that coriander is delicious. To others, it tastes like soap. Now Chipotle brings the two parties together.

Chipotle launched a $8 coriander soap bar made from organic oils and coriander essential oils-and it was sold out a day after launch.

In August, Chipotle posted a simulated (or considered simulated) photo of coriander soap on Instagram, attracting haters and fans of the herb.

Chipotle's chief marketing officer, Chris Brandt, said in a statement that making the real thing "become a bigger trend to transform a digital moment into a real-life experience."

Coriander has always been one of Chipotle's most polarizing ingredients, and the company has a clear stance on this controversy.

"Don't like coriander is something you should try to keep yourself," Chipotle tweeted in July. As early as 2019, the chain wrote on Twitter: "A moment of silence for those who think coriander tastes like soap."

Due to genetic reasons, about 4% to 14% of the general population tastes like coriander.

In other festive Chipotle news, the company also recently introduced clothing dyed with its restaurant’s upgraded recycled avocado nucleus, which produces more than 300 million avocado nuclei each year. A crew neck sweatshirt costs $47, and a one-piece suit for $14 can equip the smallest fans of the chain.

The company also changed its menu this year. It is testing pollo asado in Cincinnati, Ohio and Sacramento, California, the first time it has tested chicken in nearly 30 years. Chipotle also added smoked beef brisket to the American menu, but the item was so popular that it left the restaurant earlier than planned.
